Why drinking water is important

WHY WE NEED TO DRINK GOOD WATER

Water is the substance of life and without it life cannot be sustained. We are comprised of approximately 80% water, which makes us very reliant on clean structured water for our health and well being.   It may be said that water, next to air, is the most important substance we can nourish ourselves with.

Sugary soft drinks, carbonated water, alcohol, tea, coffee, steal tremendous amounts of water from our body and cause us to become dehydrated. Even beverages such as milk, vegetable and fruit juice require water to be properly digested.

Imagine how the quality and type of food impacts on our levels of hydration. High sodium, spicy foods, or too much meat and wheat products are difficult to digest and need large amounts of water to be processed by our body.

Learning to breathe - the first steps

BECOMING MORE PRESENT THROUGH THE BREATH:

Before you can use a tool to your advantage, you have to learn how to master it by becoming familiar with its capabilities. Breathwork is a great tool to help you slow down your mind and become more present. It also helps you to develop the Observer, which is a very important aspect of yourself that allows you to step back from your thoughts and emotions and "see" them for what they really are.

Remember thoughts create things in life; things like ill health to deep joy.

When you learn to see your thoughts in this way, you are taking the first steps to self-empowerment and self-mastery. Remember it is every human being's responsibility, to discover what you think and feel, so you can make CONSCIOUS CHOICES in your life.

Making CONSCIOUS CHOICES helps you to shift into a positive frame of mind. This in turn influences what you think, feel and do.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
  • You need a pen and paper beside you
  • A straight backed chair or if you meditate regularly, a meditation cushion
  • Breathing time 15 minutes
BASIC EXERCISE:
  • Sit in a chair, back straight, feet flat on the ground, palms facing down on knees
  • Close your eyes and focus into your heart, tilting your head slightly and looking downward
  • Begin to breathe in and out of your mouth, so there is no pause between the in-breath and the out-breath
  • Breathe so the in and out-breaths are equal in length
  • Relax into the breath, getting into a rythmn
  • Simply OBSERVE your breathing
  • If you find yourself thinking, notice this and bring yourself back to your breath
  • If you find yourself feeling emotions or body sensations, simply breathe into the feelings without acting on them
  • Write down what emerges after your 15 minute breathing session.

Try to breath in this way often, so you can familiarize yourself with it and learn to trust the response it creates in you without needing to avoid.

Points of Practice
  • You can't do it wrong
  • Keeping the practice simple, through focus and discipline is genius
  • Your mind will try to take you away from your breath
  • Writing down your breathing experiences helps to reveal deep aspects of yourself
  • Knowing deep aspects of yourself helps you to understand who you are
  • Understanding who you are helps you to understand people and the world around you.

Our Balancing System - the real healer

Share...

I once asked a bunch of professionals in a room what they thought healing was.  The general response was interesting.  Their perception was that it’s miraculous, spiritual, special, unfathomable, spooky, freaky, weird, mystical something that happens naturally without effort, to mention just a few comments.

I loved their answers because I could see this talk was going to be rewarding and insightful.

When I was teaching at the School of Energy Healing, the subject of “How do I tell people about what I do, so they will take me seriously” was a biggie.

I thought I would write this article as an explanation based upon my own previous experience of working in healing and on research from various sources in the fields of metaphysics and science.

Each of us and in fact all of life has this wonderful system of checks and balances that are designed to keep us in perfect working order.  This Balancing System holds the blueprint of wholeness, which has no choice but to continue to seek ways in which to re-dress imbalances.

So if this is true, why do things deteriorate?  Good food goes moldy and begins to rot, autumn leaves drop off trees and decay into mulch, we grow old and die, in fact we experience deterioration in everything.    But isn’t it interesting that our observation of evolution does not fit into the phenomena of decay and death.  Scientists have pointed out and shown us that evolution continues to expand into more highly developed, intelligent and specialized systems.

The Scientific world is now discovering that the evolution of biological systems continually evolve through an underling intelligent Unified Field that is alive. It maintains to seek health and balance and is resonant with other life fields.   This constant seeking to maintain health and balance by the Unified Field can be disrupted by living against these laws of balance through lifestyles that deplete our energy.  So we become energy poor.

When our balancing system needs attention, through subtle feelings and signs, we should listen to those feelings.  If we ignore these messages and continue with “wrong action” our balancing system will speak louder to us in the form pain.

Many people get stuck and go into denial about many aspects of their lives because to them, to make positive changes appears too difficult or impossible.  The thought of change is just too frightening.  This persistent denial for change builds up over years and then manifests in a life crisis.  In other words our Balancing System is demanding attention in an attempt to create balance and health.

One of the root meanings of Healing is: “Transcends Suffering”.  As all suffering is counter to the basic principles of life, whether it be physical, emotional or mental suffering, healing may be described as the process that takes place when we realize that we can stop doing the actions that causes pain in the first place.  Here we align with our Balancing System and listen to the wisdom it is trying to convey.

It may be said that certain thoughts, feelings and actions, cause us to be in pain and imbalance and by discovering, becoming conscious and realizing our actions, we then have the choice to make changes that are in harmony with life.

To maintain health is to consciously align yourself with your Balancing System and to re-establish the wisdom, guidance and subtle “knowing” that most people ignore when it is inconvenient to follow such guidance.

We as teachers of Energy Healing take great joy in doing the job of educating people back into a state of familiarity with their Balancing System, that deep subtle place in our core that reminds us who we are, what we need and how to heal ourselves.

3 Steps to Healing

Share...

There are usually a series of stages to healing

Awarness:
To begin with we need to become aware of the possible subconscious thoughts, beliefs or fears which may be causing an imbalance.  You can use your Extra Sensory Perception to aid the process of discovering the original cause of a condition.  We call this the Phase of Awareness.

Release:
It is possible to experience this phase of healing in a variety of ways with the use of healing tools such as breathing and clearing stagnant energy, objects or adjusting chakras.  A deeper method would include a journey along the time line, which may involve possible emotional cathartic release.

Integration:
This final phase should involve a change of action in one’s life, to anchor new realizations in a grounded way.   Using Colour & Essence infusions, changing one’s life style and diet make a huge difference to the well-being of an individual and can promote lasting change.

What is an Energy Block?

Share...

Our natural flow of energy always moves towards perfect health and vitality. However, when we have difficulties in our life where an experience becomes too painful to accept, we freeze it, creating an energy block in our field. We can also block energy through denial by refusing to see the truth in situations.

There are a whole bunch of ways we create stagnation and energetic blocks through our negative thinking and limiting beliefs. Blockages deplete our vitality, which can lead to ill health and suffering on physical, emotional and mental levels.

Working in the Human Energy Field using a Breathwork technique, makes it possible for us to be guided to uncover these blockages and release them.   This process is done through a series of journeys where we consciously resolve these life issues.

Deep enquiry can facilitate healing on all levels, manifesting in physical health, emotional well being, internal peace, loving relationships and returning to essence through conscious realisation.

The Four Dimensions

Share...

As far as we know, the Human Energy Field is composed of four dimensions;  Essential Core, Intention Line, Aura and our Physical body.

Essential Core
Our Essential Core pulses the quality of Essence, which can be depicted as an experience or state of pure original existence.  It is directly linked to our creative impulse and our ability to manifest.   This creative impulse is often hindered to some extent by the energetic distortions created by the ego in the Aura.  When these distortions are revealed and integrated, our creative essential selves flourish in full aliveness and health.  This Core is situated approximately 2 to 3 cm above the navel.

Intention Line
Our Intention Line holds our life purpose.  Without it we would not have the intention to incarnate.   Ideally our Essential Core flows with Essence, which percolates through to the Intention Line and is then directed via willingness to fulfill a task or action.  When we align our Intention to truth, life flows with ease and Grace.  The Intention Line is seen as a gold line moving into the Crown Chakra, connecting three essential points in the Human Energy field and continuing into mother earth.  The 3 essential points are the ID Point, the Soul Seat and the Dan Tien.

Aura
The Aura consists of about six pairs of major chakras with their associated levels and meridians.  This dimension is continually changing depending on internal and external stimuli.   The personality and ego hold sway in the Aura, creating healthy and un-healthy patterns that we have acquired through life.   A distorted Aura will shroud the Essential Core, and the Intention Line will be impeded from fulfilling our personal and world task. This results in feelings of pain and separation.  The Aura is experienced as an emanating light through the physical body, varying in colour and texture.

Physical
The physical level is the most dense aspect of the Human Energy Field.  It is at this level we experience tangible symptoms of imbalance through our senses.  All symptoms of imbalance have a deeper connection to the emotional and mental facet of our selves. Energetically releasing the cellular memory and holding patterns on the physical level via the Aura, encourages deep healing.

What is Essence?

Share...

Essence can be described as the ideal nature of something, or the most basic element or feature of something.

I remember once I was given the task of finding a way to connect to my Essence through this really long exercise asking myself the continuous question “Who am I?”

As the minutes ticked by with every answer, I found myself migrating from the mundane answers that “I am a woman, a mother, healer a human being”, to  “I am my personality”…, knowing this was true, but not true at the same time.

As I deepened into the process of “Who am I?” this bright liquid light started to well up from some deeper dimension inside me, that could not be labeled or contained in an explanation.   As I lay there flapping about on the floor in wild laughter tears running down my face, I had finally found the experience of who I was, and I had no way to describe it in words.

My teacher had often said to me “If you can describe it, then it’s not it….” And now I understood what he meant.  I was in this exquisite place of freedom of attachment to a form or idea that left me in the blessed place that was filled with light and unfettered joy.

From this place I felt I could be and achieve anything, and yet there was no desire, no personality and no need as such.  I realized this creative force in me was my Essential Core Self that every one of us has access to and that if I chose to I could live my life from this place.

This light signature of the eternal essence of each individual is a source of divine nature.  It exists outside of time and space, and physical incarnation, and it is the source of life itself.   This Essential Core Self bubbles up with Essence and brings with it complete peace and serenity.  When this Essence is allowed to be present, health emerges and when we block it through pain and fear, dis-ease occurs.

Once you experience your Essential Core Self you will find it everywhere, in your life, in the universe and in the places you look for it, it will reveal itself.

When we have a disconnection from our Essential Core Self, it is not because our Core is dysfunctional, it is more like there is something wrong in the connection to our Essential Core through the personality, and our belief system which permeates and is transmitted into our physical world.  Here the pulsations and light from the Essential Core are not permitted to bubble to the surface and emerge.

All healing on the Human Energy Field works toward bringing about a good solid re-connection to the Essential Core Self as this is the basic roots to our health, balance and full brilliance.

We run workshops to help you find our Essential Core Self.

Shamanic Journey Regression

Share...

Many people may think it a bit weird or wacky to be able to regress or move through the Time Line to a past experience and seemingly “re-live” it, but these days regressive states are more spontaneous than one would think.

In our one-day Shamanic Workshop the environment is set up to facilitate spontaneous regressive experiences to times and places that may need to be released or integrated from the Psyche.  This process of experiencing time as one, is needed if we are to break through the veil of a linear, separate way of thinking into a more Holographic Reality.

A Holographic Reality embraces the continuum approach when applied to time, saying that past, present and future are totally connected and therefore easily accessible.  To use the words Time Line is misleading from a Holographic point of view, but it is a way of describing a map to the conditioned mind where polarity and separateness seem to be real.

When we are energetically knotted up and contracted from negative experiences from the past, our vitality is also strangled in the contraction.  By regressing to the past, which is connected to the present, it is possible to liberate and release your consciousness into an alive state of wellbeing and optimal health.

Clearing the 2nd and 4th Chakras

Share...

In our Shamanic Journey one-day experiential, we create an opportunity to clear emotional stagnancy such as suppressed anger, sadness and even positive emotions like joy and sensuality.   By liberating these emotions we foster a natural flow of energy in a healthy way, which cultivates a feeling of being fully awake.  We call this being present.

It’s not just our emotional states that get freed in our Shamanic Journey but also importantly the heart level of the Chakra System has the opportunity to release many layers of relationship trauma such as betrayal, unrequited love, losses, disappointments and basically everything an unfulfilled heart could be affected by, through life times of living.

As you can imagine clearing the Heart Chakra has a significant effect on how we love.   If we are congested with pain and past hurts it is pretty difficult to be open, to trust life and change our reality.

Howard Martin, a well-known and respected researcher who founded a company, HeartMath says:

“Through the power of your heart’s intelligence you can move beyond your limitations into a new reality that allows you to become a more conscious co-creator and true custodian of the planet and its future”

On our one-day Shamanic Journey, we will facilitate you through breathing, music and artwork, to reach higher states of awareness and consciousness. Blissful states and open connectedness are often experienced on these journeys.

Book now for our Shamanic Journey workshop on Sunday 5th July, 2009.

Magnetic Light and Sound

Share...

The Human Energy Field may be viewed as the raw materials of our existence.  It is magnetic and is composed of light waves and sound waves.  It has different aspects to it that make up who we are at a raw materials level.  This Field underpins our physical body, all the aspects of our personality and ego, including our Essence and the reason we where born in the 1st place.

Inevitable shifts on the level of the human energy field, has a big effect on our lives and how we view ourselves and the world around us.

How these shifts and changes occur in our Field is more spontaneous than we would expect.   Using a simple analogy, imagine a sea anemone, rooted in coral, responding to the constant ebb and flow of oceanic life including its currents, light and dark, moon phases and the seasons.

Just like the sea anemone, our Energy Field is stimulated and responds to our environment by noise, the quality of air and nutrition, light and dark etc.   Added to this external influence just mentioned, we as human beings have internal stimuli in the form of thoughts and emotions that can impact on our energy field in a negative or positive way, depending on our experiences of life and our choices.

With this constant bumping into life, it could be said we are eternally in flux and seemingly “at the mercy” of life, including influences we approve of and ones we reject.  It can  truthfully be said, that while we are in the maelstrom of life with billions around us, we have only certain control over our immediate environment and a good amount of control over our internal environment.

It is at this point that our innate ability to foster balance and harmony lies with our choices and the actions of those choices, which will make all the difference to whether we are in pain and fear, feeling lost or doubtful or feeling stuck in not knowing what to do about situations or sudden life changes that leave us in shock with an inability to adapt.

By learning the simple building blocks to self-healing you will have the wisdom and tools to ease the tension and fear of life changes.

These seven simple actions will help you to see the big picture, keep you open hearted and willing to face the challenges that day-to-day life brings to our door, and help you optimize your magnetic ability to attract new opportunities.

Do chakras really exist?

Share...

8xxxThere are varying descriptions and interpretations about the Chakra System, so which one is right and can someone prove they exist?
Well an answer would be … it doesn’t matter, because the Chakra System is simply a map or a guideline to be explored.
It is not so much the details of the Chakras, such as how many there are exactly, or whether their psychological functions differ from culture and age.

3 Fluid Levels of our Aura

Share...

The Human Energy Field has four dimensions; Physical, the Aura, Intention and Essence.   The Aura is made of seven landscapes which consists of 3 fluid and 4 structured levels with accompanying Chakras.

These fluid non-structured levels represent the Emotional, Astral and Angelic realms.

In a healthy Energy Field, each of these landscapes hold a full rainbow spectrum and each spectrum has a unique hue or nuance. They also have a distinguishing fluid texture, individuating one level from the other.

The Emotional Level is sourced from the Sacral and Sacrum Chakras and is bright and alive as the colours of the rainbow in the sky after a thunderstorm.  The texture of this landscape is like the clouds in the sky.

The Astral Level which is sourced from the Heart Chakras have the same depth of luminosity, but with a peachy hue on this landscape.  This level is fluid and almost oily in texture.

The Celestial Level, sourced from the Brow Chakras have the typical colours of the rainbow which are saturated with beautiful opalescent hues.  Here the texture is like gossamer and ethereal.

Of course we are composed of many dimensions, of which these fluid levels are simply a facet.

When we make negative choices in life, we cause these fluid levels to become dull and sticky losing their vitality. This unhealthy state will impact on how we feel about ourselves, our life, our attitude toward other people, and the big picture of life.

It is possible to shift and vivify these levels should they become blocked and tired. This has a profound effect on our sense of well-being and health.

Combined RAS & Breathwork is magnetic

Share...

Breathing in a flowing technique fosters a simple, spontaneous, easy action that induces a meditative response, which affects a part of the brain known as the Reticular Activating System (RAS).   One of the functions of The RAS is to help you to achieve your goals.  By combining the breath with slow spacious thinking, openness and simplicity, you create a gap to realize truth and magnetize your longing through the RAS in your brain.

Breathing through the Sensory Barrier

Share...

When you first begin to breathe you are usually met with the Sensory Barrier, which is experienced as an array of physical feelings and sensations.  The challenge is to rhythmically breathe through, and observe your feelings to reach an expanded state of consciousness, which at the least can be experienced as having no edges and feeling meld with your surroundings often linked to feelings of euphoria.

Is Sexuality & Spirituality Connected?

Share...

Well of course!!  What can I say....?   To refer to the roots of the question the International Encyclopedia of Sexuality notes, "Sexuality and spirituality have always been joined and interwoven from the very beginning of the human race.   It is only in the last 2000 to 3000 years of Western civilization that the two have been separated.   They have not just been separated, but have been seen as antagonistic to each other.   The split between sex and spirit came out of the Greek philosophy of dualism, and a dichotomous view of humans as matter/evil/female and spirit/good/rational/male"

This split between sex and spirit has had huge implications on the evolution of our culture.   We are suffering from amnesia about the natural flow of our essential force; sexuality and the accompanying energy of erotic pleasure that reveals itself in joyful experiences such as a full moon, the sunlight playing on the water, a warm breeze against your skin.

Erotic energy is not altogether about sexuality, but about sensuality too.   To invite sexuality into your life from this broader perspective is to become fully alive and experience the world through the combined senses.   Sexual energy is life energy.

People who have repressed sexual energy are usually repressing other areas of their life. Sexual energy is the root life force in all of us that  can be translated into love and ecstatic joy for ourselves and all of life.
